Solid Waste – Leaching Tests
With the recent harmonization of the current National Legislation (H.P. 29407/3508 / 16-12-2002) with Directive 99/31 and the implementation of a uniform waste acceptance based on a procedure for the classification of waste, which is acceptable in the various categories of landfills, through the development of a standardized system for the characterization, sampling and analysis of waste containing standardized limit values, in accordance with the 2003/33/EC Decision of the Council of the European Union, specific criteria for the acceptance of waste in landfills throughout the country are determined.
The Chemical and Microbiological Laboratories of Q&Q Analysis carry out tests to categorize the generated waste and check compliance with the acceptance criteria, according to the following methods:
- Leaching test at liquid-to-solid ratio L/S = 2l/kg
- Leaching test at liquid-to-solid ratio L/S = 10 l/kg
- Two-stage leaching test at liquid-to-solid ratio L/S = 2l/kg and L/S = 10l/kg
- Upstream Filtration Test
