Solid Waste – Leaching Test

Taking into consideration, the recent harmonization of the Greek National Legislation (H.Π. 29407/3508 / 16-12-2002) with Directive 99/31 and the application of a uniform waste acceptance, based on, the waste classification process, which are accepted in the various categories of landfills, through the preparation of a standardized system for the classification, sampling and analysis of waste containing standard marginal limits, in accordance with the 2003/33 / EC Decision of the Council of the European Union, specific criteria for acceptance of waste in landfills throughout the country are defined.

Q&Q Analysis Laboratories, conducts tests for waste categorization and compliance check, with the limits set by 2003/33/EC Decision, according to the following methods:

• Leaching test in liquid to solid ratio L/S = 2 L/kg
• Leaching test in liquid to solid ratio L/S = 10 L/kg
• Two-stage leaching test in liquid to solid ratio L/S = 2 L/kg and L/S = 10 L/kg
• Filtration test with upward flow
